Valley Health Partners Ranks In Top 10% for Health Center Quality

VHP awarded recognition from Health Resources and Services Administration for the third year in a row

We are proud to announce that Valley Health Partners (VHP) has once again demonstrated our unwavering commitment to exceptional patient care by earning the prestigious GOLD Health Center Quality Leader recognition from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) for the second consecutive year. This remarkable achievement again places us among the top 10% of health centers nationwide and solidifies our position as a leader in community health care excellence.

Standing Out Among Pennsylvania's Best

In a field of 54 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) across Pennsylvania, we stand as one of only three health centers in the state to earn Gold status and the only FQHC Look-alike to achieve this distinction—a testament to our approach to delivering the highest-quality, accessible health care.

A Collection of National Recognition

Our excellence extends far beyond the Gold designation, with our organization earning multiple prestigious awards for 2025.

National Quality Leader Awards

Cancer Screening Excellence: We earned the National Quality Leader award for Cancer Screening, making us one of just two health centers in Pennsylvania to receive this recognition. This achievement reflects our outstanding performance in breast cancer screening, cervical cancer screening, and colorectal cancer screening.

This marks the fourth consecutive year that we have ranked among the top three in Pennsylvania for breast and cervical cancer screening—a consistency that speaks to our systematic approach to preventive care.

Behavioral Health Leadership: As one of only six health centers in Pennsylvania to receive the National Quality Leader award for Behavioral Health, we have demonstrated excellence in depression remission at twelve months, screening for depression and follow-up planning, and Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT).

Community Health Quality Recognition

Our whole-person, comprehensive approach to health care was also recognized in the following areas:

Preventive Health Badge: Meeting or exceeding five of ten critical preventive health measures, including dental care for children, nutrition counseling, developmental screenings, and comprehensive cancer screening programs.

Improving Health Care Access: Recognized as one of nine health centers in Pennsylvania for significantly expanding access to care—a particularly impressive achievement given our remarkable 19% increase in total patients during 2024.

Advancing Health Information Technology: Earning recognition alongside 22 other Pennsylvania health centers for our innovative use of technology in patient care, including telehealth services and enhanced clinical information exchange.

Looking Forward

These awards represent more than recognition; they represent a promise to our community. Each badge, each ranking, and each percentage point improvement translates to better health outcomes for the thousands of individuals and families who depend on us for their health care needs.

Our consistent recognition from HRSA demonstrates that our success isn't accidental—it's the result of our dedicated clinicians, staff, leadership, and our unwavering commitment to meeting patients where they are.

As we continue our mission of delivering exceptional care to the communities we serve, these awards stand as recognition of work well done and motivation for continued excellence in the years ahead. For the patients, families, and communities who rely on us, these awards represent the assurance that they have access to some of the finest preventative health care in the nation, right in their own backyard.
