Do I need to be a VHP patient to use the pharmacy?
VHP Community Pharmacy is an extension of VHP’s health care services and primarily supports VHP patients but is open to the community. Patients of VHP’s primary care locations are eligible for free home delivery and compliance packaging on certain prescription medications, a convenience designed to enhance their care. What insurance does the pharmacy accept?
We accept most major insurance plans, Medicare, Medicaid, and other coverage. We can also help uninsured patients access discounted medications through patient assistance programs and our VHP Medication Benefit Program.
Can the pharmacy fill prescriptions from any doctor?
Yes. We fill prescriptions from any licensed healthcare provider, whether they're part of VHP or another practice.
Do you offer generic medications?
Yes. Generics are available for most medications and typically cost less than brand-name drugs. We can discuss generic options with you.
How do I transfer my prescriptions to VHP Community Pharmacy?
You can transfer prescriptions by calling us directly, asking your previous pharmacy to transfer them, or having your doctor send new prescription orders to us. We can typically complete transfers quickly.
What if I have questions about my medication?
Our retail pharmacists are available to answer questions about your medications, potential side effects, drug interactions, and how to take your medication correctly. For some medications, we can pre-package them in clearly-labeled dosing packs, making it even easier for you to make sure you don’t miss any doses.
Do you offer delivery?
We offer convenient local, free delivery options for VHP primary care patients. Interested in this benefit? Ask our staff about availability or how to get connected to our primary care services.
